Other credited friends
A springday in 2013, May if I remember correctly. Insanesceptorguy decided to come and visit Sherwood for a bit. That was very great, because I barely talk to him or see him at all anymore. We talked for long in base together with 10 other KS people. This day will never be forgotten. After a while, I decided to go be brb for some time to fix some stuff in my room. When I checked base meanwhile I was being brb, Insanesceptorguy was very social, just like I remember him from the past. The words he said was very magnificent. He said something like "The only reason I still bother about playing Sherwood is because of Jupe". I can't remember the rest he said, but those words really touched me. I never doubted Insanesceptorguy as a friend and never will.
2. My early years
Schoolbells were ringing. My last lesson had come to an end. I got my jacket and backpack on me and was getting ready for home, when a friend of mine came at me:
- Would you like to come over to my house today? he asked. - No, thank you. I answered back. - You should play this game. Go to www.spela.nu and click on MMO-games and then on Sherwood Dungeon.
That was in 2008 or 2009. But it was also my start of playing Sherwood. When we logged in, we teleported in the same room. Perfect! The first memory I got was that he took me directly to teleport 3, Frost Bite, his favourite teleport. For that reason, I started to like Frost Bite as well. Everyone were fighting in the safe zone against big dragons and tough skeletons. Just a few went to the Weapon Merchant to buy new weapons and then later on going back to safe zone and kill the dragons again. It was a great teleport. I loved the Long Swords a lot. I bought most of the time Long Swords and other weapons as well, which was why I discovered in 2012 that the max amount of coins is 99999.
As I remember, I was not active at this time. I was still very young and preferred doing other stuff than playing Sherwood of course.
When I really started to play Sherwood again was in 2010, just some time before showing it to a friend for the first time. I always wondered what friends would say about a game like this. There's Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and a lot of other games that people like more than Sherwood. And to be honest, those games beat Sherwood. I thought my friend would think I'm insane playing a game like this and probably wondering why I'm playing that and not the cool games. But he quite liked Sherwood. We played Sherwood a lot. In the weekends, we would be up pretty late playing Sherwood. At that time when I was 11-12 years old, 11-12 pm was late, yes. We would level up a lot and things like that. I think I was active that year on Sherwood because of that guy. But I still didn't know clans excist.
After some time, we introduced Sherwood to another friend of ours. I think this was also in 2010 or very early 2011. He liked Sherwood too. It was even better when all of us 3 played Sherwood together. But it didn't happen we played the game that much. The last friend I mentioned didn't play almost at all. Me and the other friend only played at times.
When we reached 2011, we started to play Sherwood again. At least I did. I got my friend to play a few times in 2011. We played together only one time after 2011. Such a shame when we had great memories from Sherwood. My greatest memory of Sherwood playing with him was when we were in Teleport 10, The Fortress of Fury, once. We were talking Swedish to some guy that couldn't understand us. We said weird things, or more like bad things. But hey, don't blame me! At that time, I didn't turn 13 yet. When we said those things, there was a friend of his that said he's from India, but he still translated every word we said, quickly. Not with google translate or anything. So he translated exactly everything we said. We went out from there with red cheeks. After that, it took my friend a year to show up again.
3. A keeper of souls
I think 2011 was one of my most active years on Sherwood. After both of my friends that I showed this game to quitted Sherwood, I continued playing it. I think 2011 was maybe my best year on Sherwood. So much happened. So much happiness. But also some bad things in the end of the year. 2011 was also the year I got to know that there's more in this game than I thought.
July 21st, 2011. A warm summerday. I was being in Teleport 10. I think that teleport was released not long before that time. I was hanging around there doing quests and such. That day, I had my "Sweden" tags on. I liked it. I had it with my friend. No idea why. Maybe we wanted to point out our country? I got no idea. But those tags were really important.
A girl called LittleMurder spawned in Teleport 10. She either checked playerlist or she saw my character and tags. She started to say hey to me and talking to me - in Swedish! I got a bit surprised, for sure. She introduced herself. She wasn't a Swede, but a Norweigan. Swedish and Norweigan are almost the same language. A lot of same words. Like the Balkan countries got a lot of words in common and sounds almost exactly the same and you can understand each other. Same goes for Swedish and Norweigan. And Danish. Later on, LittleMurder asked me to join a clan she is in. After years of playing this game, I found out there's actually clans in this game. Clans that makes this game a good one. Her clan was KS. I said I'd like to join.
LittleMurder took me to Teleport 1 and room 77, which was the base of KS. They even had their own base! I was really surprised. A lot of players in there as well. Wasn't those 7-10 players like some other rooms. During this moment, an afternoon for a European like me, it was about 15 people in room 77. I've barely seen more than that in the same room before. I was really shocked. LittleMurder took me inside the castle. Inside the castle, I saw everyone standing there. Not people located at the spiders, but inside the castle killing each other. This was a shocking day for an experienced Sherwood player, but inexperienced when it comes to clans.
I had to fight some guy called Insanesceptorguy. I wasn't sure at first who I had to fight. Their leader, Maiden, wanted to rank me at first. Insanesceptorguy insisted. So it had to be Insanesceptorguy. I didn't know their rank system. LittleMurder helped me a bit in friend list chat. I have no idea if that is called cheating, but it's 3 years too late now to do anything about that. I actually moved at first in the fight, which was not allowed. But we fought my first person vs person fight ever. Of course Insanesceptorguy won, but not by much. I think he won with 20% health left. Absolutely a good fight for a guy that only fought creatures before. LittleMurder told me in friend list to say "Gf", She explained it stands for good fight and we always say that after a fight. We both said Gf to each other. I got ordered to come back to the castle. Insanesceptorguy told me I got the rank SMJR, which stands for Sergeant Major. LittleMurder told me it's a great starting rank. There's only two ranks above it. All those people welcomed me to The Keepers of Souls. I tried for years now to remember who were in base when I joined. I'm sure about 3 people. Insanesceptorguy, LittleMurder and Maiden of course. I think Iris was there too. Then, I'm not really sure about MetalFox and Maeve. Probably some low ranks were there too when I joined.
About a year after I got ranked, me and Insanesceptorguy talked. He told me he was a noob giving me SMJR, I should have earned a lower rank. I told him I earned the right rank, for almost beating him and being new to fighting against other people. I also told him I became a better fighter and could beat him. He insisted I can't. So he came on Sherwood few days later, so we could fight. I won.
So this is where the best parts in this story start. My life in KS.
I've always been fascinated of KS. It's such an awesome clan. Always welcoming in a good way and is a very warm clan. KS also had a lot of great leaders during thoes years KS has been alive. I see Maiden as a great leader. She may not be active anymore, but she's one of the only people who can fill up a base by just her being on. Only her and our Founder, TheMetalFox can fill up a base from being empty when they came. They come on and the news about them being on is spreading, not only in KS, but in whole Sherwood. Our base becomes like room 1, but isn't a place where people trash each other, which happens a lot in room 1. I started to talk to Maiden more and more in 2012. I finally got to know her as a person and became her friend pretty quickly. Maiden is without any doubt one of the best leaders KS ever had. She's still caring about KS while having three kids. I think that is very amazing. Maiden never disappointed me and never will. She's my one and truly Sherwood mother. I'm like a son for her. Ungrateful, saucy and constantly drunk. No, but really, she's a great person always standing there for me. I also got the nickname "Ikea" from Maiden, because I'm from Sweden and so is Ikea. I don't know if that nickname was there because it would be easier to remember my nationality?
Somewhere around my first months in KS, I met a nice friend during a tournament that was held in autumn 2011. An american guy called Desert-Eagle. I find it bad I never got to talk much to him and still don't. I sadly don't even have any contact with him, even though I got him added on some different places. I've been thinking a lot about trying to take back contact with a lot of people. Desert-Eagle is definitely one of them. He's a pretty quiet guy, doesn't like to be heard and be drawn attention to, too much, I suppose. He was one of my earliest friends in KS. A really good guy, but it's very bad he barely shows up anymore.
One thing I will never forget about those two are, how important they've been to me. They were among my first friends in KS and are good people.
5. The trio
Everything worked well in KS and everyone were so friendly. Me and Insanesceptorguy became good friends, of course. But another guy that really came to make a big impression in many ways, for being a pretty epic guy, was Extreme-power, but more known as Electro nowadays. He's from Belgium and became a good friend of mine. He was also a good friend of Insanesceptorguy. Electro's English wasn't that good, he was suffering with it, but that doesn't stop us from being friends. We three became good friends and, you can say that we made a trio. We went out around Sherwood a lot and made quests and such.
Electro once called us all out for "haxing", which is, if I got it right, cheating or hacking. Since he said that, we all three used that quote a lot. Electro was also good at nicknames. I don't remember if he gave Insanesceptorguy a nickname, but he gave me one; Jupzyzy. Since then, I called him Electrouou. I told some of my friends about this, one of them was another Electro; ElectroxSoldier. He lives in France and he laughed at it a lot, because, without my acknowledge, zizi is a sexual word. You will have to translate that word yourself and you will see what it means. Since then, I also call him Electrozizi at times, which he isn't that happy for.
Our trio didn't remain for long due to Insanesceptorguy's inactivity and Electro jumping from active to inactive a lot. Sadly, Electro changed a lot as well. He started to care more about ranks and wanted to leave many times because he wasn't promoted for some time. I got him to stay. Now, I haven't seen him for some time. Our trio was a really good, but short one.
I guess I have to tell Insanesceptorguy what a good fighter I am and call Electro for haxing to make them come back.
6. My first function
I've been a few months in KS when I either decided to apply for a function or someone got me to apply. The last one sounds more like it. I'm not really sure how long I was in KS though before applying for my first function, if it was before or after christmas 2011. I think it was before christmas. The function I decided to apply for was RG, Royal Guard. Now, Royal Guard isn't really a big function and I wasn't using it too much either. It's basically a function where you need to protect the raid leader by all cost. I wasn't in many raids back then, so was a bit hard to use it well.
I think the reason why I applied for RG was that I wanted to make more for KS. I think it wasn't because I wanted to be seen more. As I heard in many clans, you need to be a known player or having a high rank or high function to be seen and heard, else you're just air for everyone. What makes KS special is that everyone, no matter rank, function or whatever it can be, all of them are heard and seen everywhere. Everyone got the chance to talk all the time. KS has been called a social clan for some time now due to our lack of raids. We are maybe not a social clan, but many of us comes on Sherwood just to talk sometimes. It's a MMORPG game after all, where you're supposed to talk as well. I don't know how many raids you need to do per week to be called a war clan or not. I don't see KS as a war clan or social clan. We are playing a game where you talk and there's wars in it as well. So you're pretty much both of it. Or nothing.
RG isn't a really special function, but the most special about it was that I got to use it max five times.
7. Winter 2011
This book isn't only about my good sides, but also my bad sides. I was happy about being in KS, but one of my good recruits, a guy called Pikoe, was about to leave KS and make his own clan. I don't know what got into my head, but for some reason, I wanted to follow him and join his clan. Leaving all my best friends. Everyone would be so disappointed. LittleMurder asked me a lot of times what happened and if someone has been mean. All credits to her. I think that's what got me to stay. I posted on KS guestbook that I want to leave and take a break from KS. PinkDisaster, a great girl that built up KS site a lot, not only the layout, but also the content and she made up an easy way to update the memberlists, or more like everything, she replied to me on guestbook and said that I can still take a break from KS without leaving. So that's what I did. I think that's also a reason why I stayed.
I was the next day in KS base. There was also Don Fortune, a guy I will explain a bit more about later. When he came to base, he said "slaps Jupe", referring to what I posted on guestbook. I decided few days after that my break was over. It was about a week long. Pikoe's dreams about making his own clan was over, partly because it would be hard to make an own clan and that I decided to still be in KS, so he wouldn't get my help.
I could enjoy times with KS again. I'm very glad they quickly forget about your past and always look forward. That is what I love about KS. They don't care about your past, as that is irrelevant. You can always change into a better person. If anyone of you dislike someone, always see the positive things in him and understand that he got all possibilities to change. That's what I did. That's what everyone else can do.
At this moment, in the beginning of 2012, I started to talk more to a person that came to change my life totally in a positive way later on. A girl called Iris.
I don't remember my first moments with her, which is such a shame. She means a lot to me. To start with, she has always been there for me, in good and difficult times. We talk every day, all the time and I never found her annoying or anything like that. I would be very evil if I would find her annoying, considering everything she did for me.
This girl is a great girl in any way. Not only a good person you can always trust, but also a good member for KS. KS should be very proud of having her. She's been in KS for 4 years soon, which is very great. She's one of the members who's been the longest in KS that is still active. She also got a leading role in KS. A council member for, I don't really know how long. I would guess for 2 years. She really knows how to handle stuff in different situations. She always does the right thing.
What I also love from her is that, when we do decisions or that we are going to vote about something, she see things in both good and bad way. Most of us would only see things in either the good or bad way. That's not how Iris is like, which is another reason I really admire her. She's been like a sister to me for very long and without any doubt the most important person I met and will ever meet. We started to get closer in summer or autumn 2012. That was also when I really started to tell more about myself to her, you know, about my family and real life. If she shouldn't know about me and my family, then no one should.
It's such a shame we don't live in the same country. I'm really sure we would be great friends in real too. She's the only person I really tell "I love you" every day, or almost the only one at all, to be honest. Iris, you're the most beautiful person I ever met. Thank you for everything you've done to me and KS.
I never really thought a person I never met in real could mean so much to you. Iris proved me I'm wrong.
9. The guider
I think I got my second function in KS in spring 2012, but it's very hard to find out now long after, because I can't check back in solarsystem guestbooks now when there is a limit of posts. That is such a shame. I would like to see what exactly I posted when I joined KS and other stuff as well. Oh well, I gotta live without them.
My second function in KS was like my first one. Didn't come to much of a use. It was Soul Guider (SG). It's a useful function if you will use it. The question was, why did I apply for this function when I wasn't in KS for long? I'm not sure about if someone got me to apply for it or if I did it by myself. I think I did it by myself. I can't really remember I actually guided people.
But before or after I applied for Soul Guider, can't remember which, something terrible happened in the beginning of the year. I was close to leaving KS once again. This time, I got really annoyed by a member called Brave, that kept on harassing me and always trying to make me feel down for no reasons. I had enough from him when Poseidon, a great guy from Holland that I respect for a lot of reasons, you will read more about him later. He had his own KS tournament, something called KS League. You would fight each other for best of 5, for example. You would get points and so on, like a top 10 fighter list, but based on points. A tournament I didn't really join, firstly because I wasn't that much active at that time, but also because I didn't like it for some reason. But nowadays, Poseidon made a more fresh tournament called KOSFO (Keepers Of Souls Fighting Organisation), which I really love and I'm also able to host KOSFO tournaments.
Once when I was on MSN, Brave kept on asking me to have a KS League fight. I decliened it. He kept on asking me and, as always, annoying me a lot. When he finally stopped asking me, of course he went to the KS League guestbook and posted there.
вяανє яє∂ кηιgнт αкα נкℓ кѕ
Why the fck registered that Jupe?
I asked for a fight for leauge with that dude.
And he answer ''No''
That made me even more annoyed. I posted that I wasn't on Sherwood at that time and such things. Didn't post anything rude as that wouldn't make the situation better. I barely get annoyed, but Brave was a guy that could get me annoyed and really wanted to test my limit. But I never threw my anger at anyone at all. My anger is something I can control and I'm good at it. The only times I needed to hold my anger inside me was probably about the Brave matter.
So I posted on the KS league guestbook and KS guestbook that I want to leave KS and KS league. Poseidon replied back on the KS league guestbook.
Gonna update it all soon.
I like to talk to you Jupe. Cause i know you're 100% KS and this is not the way you want it ;)
All credits to Poseidon, who got me to stay once again, together with TheMetalFox, the founder of KS. TheMetalFox posted on KS guestbook, a long post. I decided to talk to him on MSN, that doesn't exist anymore. I said sorry for what I did and I'd like to still be in KS if I can. He apologized me and he said sorry as well for sounding harsh on the guestbook. I didn't apologize him for that. Or I did, but I had no reason to apologize him because I was the bad guy in this. He still let me be in KS and let me keep my rank and function(s) as well. He posted about it on guestbook. I was really happy with this decision, even though I wasn't really sure at this time if I was worth it.
That wouldn't happen if Brave wouldn't be there annoy me a lot, but I can't only blame him. I could just ignore him. But all that is just in the past. We gotta look into the future and forgot about our pasts. We all got something bad in the past. If we only looked how people were in the past, we wouldn't be able to look forward anymore and we all would just be stuck where we are now. So forget how people were in the past.
10. Summer 2012
I was gone for some months, if I remember correctly. I returned in summer or near summer 2012. I actually forgot how to type in friend chat. I was hanging around a bit in teleport 6 and that was an excellent opportunity to find out.
- How do you type in friend list?
- f. was the long answer.
I didn't get the f. I tried to type like, the friends name first and then the message. Didn't work, of course. The guy I kept asking how to type in friend list was from France. He barely spoke any English at all. I kept on asking him if he can speak English.
So instead of answering a yes in English, he did it in French. I knew back then what oui means, but I kept asking him if he can speak English. If he can, he should be able to answer that question in English. But oh well, I finally found out how to type in friend list. I was very happy. After an hour trying to make that guy answer yes and explain more in English, I finally got the answer you type /f and not just f.
I was looking back a bit in my facebook profile and found something very great.
May 17 2012:
Back to swd ... Missed KS
Just a month before that, I posted something else. So I was gone for a month or less and missed KS a lot. That proves how much I really love this clan. I also got nice comments on that post.
May 17 - Lizzy: miss you :P May 17 - Jupe: u too :) May 17 - Poseidon: Welcome back ;D May 17 - Pikoe: welcome backz jupe! May 23 - Jupe: Thanks all :) May 23 - Dionysus: welcome back jupe May 23 - Thanks Dion ^^
They told me welcome back and all. They didn't seem to forget about me. KS is a very warm clan that I will always love.
Lizzy is a girl that joined KS back in 2012 and wasn't that active and still isn't. She's barely on Sherwood and to be honest, I don't know her well, more like almost nothing. Which is very bad.
Dionysus is a guy that I don't know much about. He got kicked from KS a few times and misbehaved in the past, for that reason a few kicks. We are not really friends, I don't know him that well. I believe he changed. We all learn by time. For some people, it takes longer. You will recognize while reading further in story that I learned from my mistakes. From being close to leave two times, to being a very loyal member to KS. I always loved KS even though I was close to leave two times. During the times I was about to leave, I still loved the clan. I just had some bad days, I suppose. At least when I was about to leave the first time. But people convincing you to stay and always trying to figure out what happened and making the best of your situation proves how great this clan is and how people care about every member. You may call me a drama queen for what I did back then, but don't forget that the second time I was about to leave, I needed someone to harras me for months to make me feel that way. Brave was even an ambassador at that time, if I'm correct. Or he got it afterwards. But that's not how an ambassador is supposed to behave. At least not during the time he was harassing.
I was always proud of earning promotions. I did something good for KS and I earned them well. I got my first promotion after a month or so after I joined, to SMC. I couldn't find many promotions, because of the 5000 limit on the guestbooks. But I found some on different places.
October 24th 2011
Got a promotion to LTM (Lieutenant Major) by Poesidon or something :S
November 26th 2011
Just got a promo to Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) by Grievous. Thanks a lot!
December 21st 2011
Promoted to Colonel by Pinky-D! ThanKS!
January 15th 2012
Got a promo to Brg by MetalFox! Ty
February 17th 2012
Got a promo to MGN by Pinky! Ty ^^
That's all I found. I like the first one, the promotion from LTM. How I misspelled Poseidon's name.
In my early years in KS, I was a very proud member of KS. I even added notes on facebook over my medals and the people I ranked in KS. In the notes about ranked people, there was Pikoe, for example. There was also a girl who I came to be good friend with. Her name was ChristinaILY. She joined April 5th 2012 and got the rank MSG. That is a few ranks below my own rank. We talked from times to times. I don't remember how much back then, but I remember she came back from being inactive a few times and we really liked each other as friends. She went inactive once again in summer 2013 and came back spring 2013. This time, she joined DV. My two most decent recruiters, Pikoe and Christina were both gone from KS. I talked to her and she thought that KS was dead. I got a bit suspected, as she didn't post on KS guestbook or checked the site. She didn't try to contact any KS member. She knew where to contact me. But oh well, I told her we will still be friends of course. I have friends outside KS and they all are very awesome. Just because you're in a clan, doesn't mean you only can be friends with people inside that clan. I have a very close friend in DW, called BittenApple. She will show up later again in this story.
Summer 2012 was a great time in KS and I made more friends and made close friends out of friends I already had too.
I decided to apply for my third function October 21st 2012 after Poseidon asked me to apply for ambassador. So I did it. Ambassador had a more important task and required more than my other functions, soul guider and royal guard. I would also be able to promote people now. This was Poseidon's post on the council guestbook.
October 21st 2012 - Poseidon
"When Blazed is not ready yet and Hunter maybe never will be, Jupe is ready. He handles stuff better than some currenct AM's and would be a good addition. With that function he can do more for the clan ,which he is able to do so. Pretty mature in his behaviour and representing KS in a good way in my oppinion. So yeah, that makes it a Yes. I also suggested him he should apply, so would be nonsense if I would say No, right? ^^"
October 22nd 2012 - WhiteHawk
"He is a sweedish like meh : D ok thats not the reason for his yes I oftenly see him at base and the way he talk and say hi and welcome ppl is like Am do. Other thing i was there when blazed was raging on some AB's and Jupe was so calm and trying to handle that situation calmly. and i was like dont give a F to AB... instead of raging and trashing them back let them speak.
So he handle stuff nicely tho. he deserve it.
October 22nd 2012 - Iris
"Jep, same happened earlier with Jupe and AB. Handled it the way an AM should. He stays calm and treats everyone with respect, whether they're KS or not. I think he deserves AM and that he'll do great.
oh and also, he just posted on Tqa site about some guy Tom who was attacking random KS. He informed TQA about what happened with the member and the post isn't disrespectful at all. Good thing for an AM hm?"
October 24th 2012 - Iris
"Gave Jupe AM ^^"
I was really proud to earn this function. Every council that voted, voted yes. They trusted me fully, which was amazing. I promised to do my best and I took it really serious and saw it as a huge task. To be honest, I think I took ambassador more serious and saw it as a more important task than the rest of ambassadors saw it. Even the councils probably.
The ones that were ambassadors with me were Brave, Shirushi-Musha and Venamoris. So guess who started to tell me how the ambassador function is difficult? Brave. I remember when I got ambassador and he told me that I need to be super active 24/7 and such things. That was probably to make me resign from ambassador. I found it funny how he was barely on at all.
In that time, every ambassador believed that you had a bigger chance of getting in the council if you're an ambassador because you are more experienced. That is false though. Sure, you are more experienced, but being an ambassador doesn't guarantee you will get council within some months. You will maybe not get it at all. There's a huge step between being a good ambassador and being a good council.
But remember, you can reach everything if you believe in yourself and got the right self-coinfidence. Most important of all is that you're working hard for it. You won't reach anything without trying.
12. Don Fortune
At summer 2012, I started to talk with one guy and when I got Ambassador, we started to talk more and more. The person that gave me a slap when I was about to leave the first time came to be a good friend of mine. Don Fortune. One of the first times I really started to talk to him was on the good, old MSN. He showed me some videos of a game I can't really remember which. Later on that day, he said "You're awesome, Jupe. Don't change".
That really meant that he valued me as a good friend when less than a year ago, he was really disappointed at me. I really understood him though. Don is well-known at computer stuff. He knows more about computers than anyone else I know. When I ask him about things, he just laugh at me or facepalm. Just because he knows a lot about it and I barely do. Don is a great guy though. He may be this guy not trying to show his inner feelings, but they're always there and everyone got feelings. Don told me about his feelings like really long time ago, which also mean that he trust me a lot. That is very good.
Don was a council back in the days, but left that function and went inactive from Sherwood, as he prefer other games than Sherwood. He'll always be remembered in KS though. Even though he went inactive, we talk a lot. I'd say we talk every second day. He help me with the computer stuff when needed. It's very useful to have a computer expert as your friend. No, but really, he's a great guy and I'm glad I met him.
There were discussions about the council when October/November reached. KSÊ, the Co-Leader, was going inactive, or already was a bit actually, so he decided to step down. Maeve stepped down from Co-Leader as well. Xena was leaving KS. Poseidon was leaving KS for DV. Then, Sever and Jaida were both inactive. But also Maiden, who really got a busy real life and had that for years. TheMetalFox wasn't on either. So the council was really dead at that time with only a few councils: Baduy, Bjorn, Iris, Lounana, KillerOmega, WhiteHawk (No one really knew if he was a council or ambassador). They needed new councils. TheMetalFox was still there at that time though, posting on council guestbook. There were a lot of talks back then about who would become the new council(s) and Co-Leader(s). I remember we talked about this in base one day, and Exotic said "But the problem is, Jupe, that no one is ready for council". I don't know if that was true, or if he knew what was going on.
Poseidon's last post on council guestbook before going to DV was:
"My last advice, get that ikea guy in C and same for Exo. Jupe is totally ready and Exo is great at hosting stuff. Cya allz!"
November 12th 2012 - Poseidon
Poseidon suggested me as ambassador and now as council. The guy that also got me to stay. He knew how to handle stuff. Oh, what a guy.
Already the day after, this post appeared in council guestbook:
"Jupe will be our new council member. I know the voting is not done yet but Im making this fast for all the above reasons given alrdy. I hope i dont step on any1 s tooths by doing this and i can only hope every1 trusts me on this and hopefuly agrees. If not,u know u can always talk to me and hopefuly i will be able to explain my self and make u understand and agree after all.
Why Jupe? Cause he is a great and active guy. A old loyal member and friend of our fam who i know will do more then right for our clan and give the best he has to offer."
November 13th 2012 - TheMetalFox
It was a real honour to be trusted like that. Been given the highest function in KS. After that, some councils said their opinions. All of them said yes for me as council. That was even a bigger honour. Not only that Poseidon suggested me and TheMetalFox really wanted me in council, the whole council agreed! This post was to be found in council guestbook the day after:
"As you guys seen, I've posted the announcement. I'll be honest, I'm pretty pissed Ikea was spoken to about his C position before I talked to him as it was not something that had been asked but guess what's done is done.
Welcome to C IKEA and gratz on coldrship Bjorn and Exo :)."
November 14th 2012 - Maiden
This was one of the situations where I was called ikea, as I explained earlier. Maiden is a great girl. Like really.
So without me becoming a council, Bjorn got to be a Co-Leader and Exo got Co-Leader too without being council before that. The hopes about Bjorn being that perfect Co-Leader didn't live up to the expectations.
I was really honoured to be given council. I think that's a function everyone want. To be given such high function, you need to prove yourself ready for it and that you deserve it. You need to be a long time KS too.
I was not only honoured to be given council, but also very nervous. Would people listen to me? But even more important, would people still see me as the same person? I'm still the same person, but just with a higher function. Why I was nervous about being council at first was probably because I was one of the youngest being in council. I was still only thirteen years old. I was one of the youngest ever in KS history getting council. I think Bokitoman, Poseidon and TheDawg were thirteen as well when they got council. But why would people listen to a young child like me? Most of the KS members were older than me. You usually listen and see up to people who's older than you, not those who's younger than yourself. In that way, I totally understood them. I must say that I became comfortable and a good council after maybe a month being a council.
The councils kept telling me that I have to warn the members when they did something instead of just trying to make them stop by talking normal to them and then reporting in the council guestbook what happened. Warning members wasn't something I did. I still don't do it. I can't really do it, I see no reason to do that. I'm a calm guy who you can't annoy easily. It takes a lot of time and effort to do that and it's nothing worth to do it. I prefer talking to the members and trying to make them stop in that way instead of giving them warnings. Some people keep on giving members warnings because they don't respect other members. But it's not like that member will show respect to you if you gave that person a warning. Why would they respect a person who says you will get demoted or kicked if you continue doing the way you do? That's a bad way to earn respect for yourself or for other people. Always keep yourself calm and talk to the members in a nice way instead of giving warnings and you will earn respect for yourself and for other people easily. They will also get where the limit goes by talking to them instead of a warning. Sure, they will get where the limit goes by a warning, but they won't respect you then. People will not like you if you give them warnings.
14. Across the border
I met a girl who I started to like directly. Her name is BittenApple and I have many strong memories from what we spent together. One of the strongest ones was when I first met her in KS base in autumn 2012. She was a KS member for some weeks I think, but I never saw her before that moment. We started to talk and she seemed pretty nice. I joked around with her name and went on a guest account with the name BittenPear.
I asked for her MSN and we started to talk there. I asked her age and she started to joke around.
"I'm sixteen. No, I'm seventeen. No, I'm nineteen. No, I'm twelve."
"So you are twelve?"
"Omg no, I'm sixteen"
She's a really nice girl and we used to be online a lot when no one else was. Just being lonely in base with her spending time together and talking all evening. She was a reason I kept myself active. She made KS a funnier place. I tried to convince her a lot of times to apply a function. I saw her as a future councillor or ambassador. She said every time that there's no function matching her. I think that's the only time she was wrong. She was ready for being a soul guider. A great one.
Then she wanted to leave KS, but thought about it for a while. I convinced her to stay in KS, but she decided to leave KS. She joined LA. Not long after, LA died and she joined DW. Right now, she's high ranked in DW. I'm glad she proved DW she got a lot of potential. It's just not the potential of a leading role. She is a very nice person and welcomed new members to the clan and made them feel welcome. She talked a lot to them. Even if I tried to get her back to KS, she won't and now she's not playing sherwood anymore. I'm happy she's my closest friend. Thanks for everything you did to me and KS.
15. A rose of metal
I met MetalRose in 2011 first, but got into conversations with her in 2012. Beautiful woman. She's an original member of KS and ND and worked hard for KS from the beginning until the end of her time in KS.
I don't have many memories from her back in 2011 or 2012, but right now, she's one of my closest I talk to daily. She's a great girl with a great humuor. She always makes every situation as dirty as possible. That's what we like about her.
She's sweet. She helped me out in a lot of situations and always great talking to. A big helping hand who would help you anytime. She is and has been an important person. Not only for me, but for the whole clan. She helped leading KS for long. She was a member for six years if you count in ND. She helped building up KS and ND. She was leading it the proper way. She was one of the proudest members. Thanks for everything, MetalRose!
16. Winter 2012
I was really proud of being in the council and I was really proud of wearing it in my tags and showed it with proud every time I was in base. I also got to learn something as a council. It's hard to win everyone's respect when you're younger than everyone else. I was one of the youngest members in KS and I still am actually. Who expected that the little kid would be in council?
Winter 2012 wasn't a really successful one. If you count inactivity, it was maybe the worst we had so far. Maybe besides from beginning of that year. KS was like in a risk-zone at this time. Half of council gone and only replaced by me. Maybe one or some of the current ambassadors of that time would get chosen into council, but they left when they didn't get the chance of being in council. A very stupid move. Leaving because another person than themselves got council. That only proves they're not ready yet for council, maybe not even ambassador. If you're in a clan just for a function, then you don't belong to any clan at all.
A bit of inactivity wasn't the only reason we were having a bad time. Some decent members left KS as well, that would become something good in KS. Earth left KS, he who later on became a top guy in DH and DV. He was also bringing back SFS, that sadly wasn't alive for long. Another reason why KS had a bad time was, we weren't having a single raid in December. No events. Nothing. It was hard to get KS active with an inactive council too. Believe me, if the high ranked or people with high functions are there, people will show up too. People look up to the high ranks and high functions and they want to be around them. I was looking up a bit as well when I wasn't high rank or got ambassador and council. A guy who I was really fascinated of was Poseidon. We all got our models who we look up to. Or at least had. Poseidon was one guy of a few. Too bad he left KS for DV. But it was all his own choice. When he posted on guestbook that he left, we talked a bit, either before or after that, that he got very frustated over a specific member. After he posted that he left, I told him I understand his decision. What else should I when he got me to stay and got me into ambassador and then council? He's the biggest reason I reached this far and that I am even KS today. Poseidon also asked me which clan he should choose.
- I've got offers from DW and TNR so far, but I declined both.
- Choose DV.
Why I prefered DV for him was because KS and DV were long time allies and in that way, he would be in a different clan, but close clans and great allies. He later on became very successful in DV. I felt good in that way. He helped me to become successful in KS and I prefered DV for him, so he could become successful there. I never had any doubts he wouldn't become successful in DV when I prefered that clan for him. His great leading skills would take him that direction. That's also a reason he got in DV's council after just 3-4 months. Maybe even less. He did a great job too and invented a tournament there, DVFO; Deo Volente Fighting Organisation. That is the same as KOSFO, but he started it in DV.
The inactivity in KS would get big, but bad consequences.
17. February 24th
Me and Maiden had a lot of talks about KS. She couldn't get on because she's working pretty much working whole day 5-7 days a week. We had not only an inactive leadership, but the whole clan too. There was nothing else to do. Maiden took the decision to shut down KS. There was no founder to do this, but Maiden got approved my TheMetalFox to do it. So KS would shut down. Most of the Council agreed by doing this. Everyone without one guy. The Co-Leader I told you about earlier, Bjorn. I don't really remember if we decided to shut down KS on this day or the day after, but Bjorn went to base and started to shout.
- KS IS GONNA SHUT DOWN! YOU'RE ALL CLANLESS NOW! YOU CAN GO NOW! FEEL FREE TO GO! KS = DEAD CLAN. GO NOW!
I was about to get all mad at him. What the hell was he doing? We agreed to not tell the members yet, to not shut down KS. I never saw him as the best Co-Leader, but he really proved here that he wasn't worth Co-Leader by acting like this. It was already bad as it was with KS shutting down. He didn't have to destroy the day even more.
Maids posted on the council guestbook that KS would shut down. Me and Exo posted that we agreed that Maids did the right choice. Guess what Bjorn posts?
" jupe smd.
i quit swd.
gl figurin it out
uhm this typin thing is messd up
idk what they said.
i used my powers
He is supposed to represent KS. Is this how you represent a clan full of pride for many years now? Totally not.
I was of course sad that KS had to shut down. The clan I've been in for almost 2 years by that time. I loved the clan a lot and cared about it and the members cared about you. It was all perfect until winter came. Then, everyone went inactive and such.
At the same day when Bjorn logged out from Sherwood, Exotic decided to hold a "funeral" for KS. Base was full at that time. Half of the people were KS, but there was also people from DV, DW and some other as well. People tried to crash the funeral. We ended up iggying them. One thing that I didn't see as respect was from DV's leading, who directly after the funeral asked us all to join DV, or a forcing way to ask. DV is a long time ally and that's definitely not something you ask directly after a funeral. But every KS that was there at the funeral joined DV. I was being stupid enough of joining DV because of the peer pressure. I got GNRL as a rank and some function I can't remember. GNRL is a middle rank in KS, but a rank below Co-Leader in DV, if I'm right. A good rank, but I didn't belong to DV, which was why I decided to leave DV the next day. DV was my second clan and I stayed in there shorter than 24 hours.
The post that was made by Maids on KS guestbook included that no one is supposed to try take back KS or try to make Maiden or TheMetalFox to rebuild KS. But that would change later on.
18. The revival
I decided to still be active, even if I told myself I wouldn't. KS is my second home and it belongs to Sherwood. That would be a reason to still play Sherwood. The next few days after I left DV, I got an offer to help BW rebuilding their clan. Exotic would help them. I rejected the offer and decided to stay clanless, but still wearing KS in tags. TheMetalFox came back a bit after KS died. When KS died, Maiden asked us all to not try to bring KS back. A lot of people posted on KS guestbook and said how sorry they were that KS died.
We got really active while we were dead. There's a picture on my homepage of my home site. That picture is during KS was dead. 25 people in base, while 15-20 of them were KS people. Not bad for a clan being dead. Everyone craved for KS getting back and even old members with great experience of leading KS got back. TheMetalFox and Maiden decided to bring KS back! After some council meetings, among those people being council at that time anyways, which was a few, because nothing was decided yet, the leadership would look like this:
LDRs: Exotic, Jupe, KillerOmega
CoLDRs: ElectroxSoldier, Parra
Councillors: Amnesia, Baduy, WarEmpress, Xena
KillerOmega got LDR a month after KS came back. Hunter got a spot in council in April as well and Iris got council in June/July.
I was very proud of getting LDR and a few months after, I could proudly tell LitteMurder I got LDR. I rarely see her and at this moment, I didn't talk to her for a year soon. I told Lounana to check guestbook. KS came back and I got LDR. She got very proud of me as well. I never thought I'd make it to a high rank like LDR. I worked hard for it, but I never thought I had the potential of becoming one. I still remember when TheMetalFox talked to me. He told me "You sadly won't be in council. But I can congratulate you as our new leader!" That was a proud moment. It was a bit expected though. When KS died and people craved for KS coming back, Maiden told me "I won't let KS come back without making you CoLDR." I felt very honoured.
This was a strong council. Experienced members like Baduy, Parra and Xena were there, mixed with half-experienced like me, Exotic and KillerOmega and then totally new leadership like Amnesia, ElectroxSoldier and WarEmpress. That looked pretty perfect.
19. The old dominator
KS remained active for a few months but when summer hit, we weren't as active as before. Activity went downhill again. We searched for conclusions, but couldn't know how to fix this situation, but one man came in June/July that was an old KS and ND member, but was inactive until summer.
OldDominator as the old members know him as, or the newer ones know him as Impact. We were in base a summerday together with one or two other people, looking at our situation. I didn't know him since he just came back from inactivity and I actually think he has been inactive through my whole time in KS. He told me we need to get KS active and he got whole summer to be active. I wasn't sure if he got a work, but I think he said he doesn't work yet, so he got a lot of time to help KS to get active was his point. He wanted everyone to recruit as much as possible and he was a reason we held a recruiting events that summer 2013. He was one of the best recruiters I've seen not just in KS, but in whole sherwood. There's only one better recruiter I can think of right now and that is Hunter. He would get 50 members easily in just two weeks and he wasn't even super active when he was at his best activity. Dominator would get 30 members in two weeks with no problem.
His many ideas of getting KS active, which also worked and then a recruiting event we had for about three weeks and got 100+ members, he was my number one guy I wanted in the council and I suggested him. After a week or two, he had his council position. He was in my opinion a great councillor for a short time. After 5 years in ND/KS, he finally got a spot in council. Took longer time than it should have because of his inactivity.
Why he was a great councillor had a few reasons. First his hard work in KS. He always tried his best and came with new ideas, not just about activity, but it could be anything concerning KS. He was one of the nicest people I ever met. Always bringing a happy face to base and he was really making everyone feel great. He was loved by many people. Whenever he wasn't online, but when I was, a lot of members asked for him and asked when he will come to base. That's when you know we brought the right man to the council. When the members really love him so they would want to see him all the time. He lost his spot in council around September/October.
Dominator was also a very close friend of mine and we used to call each other every night and had a great time. In September, he disappeared and came back quickly and explained his inactivity. Made me sad. I missed him, he came back and explained his real life things, why he's inactive. In council, we decided to remove him and he will have a big chance coming back to council once he's back on sherwood. So far, no sign from him for some time and it really hurts when your best friend is missing for long.
He meant a lot to KS and I hope he will be here soon again.
20. An organizer
MathiasTOz was a good guy that always come and go. He show up, stay for a few weeks and then disappear for some months. But during those weeks he's here, he produce more to the clan than what many other could do in many months. He's one of the most willing guys I've seen working for KS. He would host everything for us. Events as well as war trainings.
He created his own "The Event Of The Week", where the members themselves could pick an event that they want to be hosted the coming week. Smart idea. Many people aren't showing up in events because it's not their favorite event being hosted. That's one of the biggest mistakes a host can do. Keep picking your own events without anyone joining, but just waiting until someone will join. I know that mistake myself. Letting the members pick the event is a great way of hosting. You gain activity and the members are having fun at the same time.
The members weren't giving many suggestions though, it was always the same people giving suggestions with the amount of max five people. I decided to help MathiasTOz with his idea. It died out when he went inactive and when he came back from his inactivity, we talked a lot and he wanted to bring it back. I told him I will help him and gave him a new idea to make it maybe even better. By hosting more than one event per week. To host two or three events per week. Only one event per week wasn't enough according to me. Those who really love events have to look forward to one event and then wait one week for just one event. Two or three events would be better. Less waiting, more to look forward to, more fun and more activity. The only risk was that the members might get tired of all events, but they didn't. Not many members joined though. Without the tournaments. Those were successful. Always more than eight who wanted to join them, but we were really lucky to hit eight people with the other tournaments.
Capture The Ship was another successful tournament that was rarely used after 2011. First time I joined a Capture The Ship was when me and Mathias hosted one in 2013, two years after I joined KS. Those were never hosted, sadly. Not a single one for two years. But me and Mathias wanted to give it a try and I'm glad we did. People loved the tournament. Older members who used to do it a lot years ago as well as new members doing it for the first time in their time in KS. It was usually above eight members joining them.
Don Fortune was a helping hand as well to start those events. He didn't create or host any, but he brought back our event page and fixed it up a bit. Don, ElectroxSoldier and Exotic wrote the descriptions to the events. I think I wrote one description. I'm not sure if Mathias helped writing one description as well, but we five were very dedicated in bringing it back. All of us without Exotic even had a few group calls deciding how it would look like. I thnk it looks great now. It would be easier for members to join the events as many of us are in different timezones. Don added a timezone map there on that page, so people could easily count which time the event is hosted in their timezone.
The most successful events hosted by me and Mathias were held December 26th to December 31st. New event every day for six days. We were sure they would be successful, we just weren't too sure about December 31st. That's a special day, so maybe no one would join. I was pretty surprised people actually joined that day. We had a problem though. Rubipn all of a sudden decided to host an event just an hour or two before one of our events would start. He decided that few days after we already posted on the guestbook about the events and put it as an announcement. He decided to call off his event ten minutes after it started though, because people didn't listen in his opinion. We didn't have that problem in our event just one or two hours later. I recorded the last two events and they can be found on the KS Youtube channel. We also wrote event reports, which can be found on the KS facebook page. Events were hosted every day without the 27th. The hosts had problems going on sherwood, so there would be no event.
The events we used were:
26th - Last Man Standing
28th - KOSFO Non-Major
29th - Tournament
30th - Sumo Smackdown
31st - Tournament
ElectroxSoldier and Exotic had a new event idea that me and Mathias used a lot. It was called Sumo Smackdown, which is pretty much the same as Last Man Standing, but a bit changed. The event can only be performed in the arena they have in teleport 6 or as we used it in, KS designed base. That was a bit better since our arena is filled with water. You have a last man standing and if you get killed, you're out. If you touch the water, you're out as well. It's easier to see when someone touch the water than when someone touch the grass. That was a much appreciated event. ElectroxSoldier and Exotic created a great event together. Last Man Standing in a small area.
Me and Mathias hosted some events when 2014 started as well. It ended in the middle of January when he disappeared and we hit inactivity, which is still standing when I'm writing this in summer 2014. But even if we hosted a lot of great events, there was one event that turned out like a total mess.
It was Team Deathmatch in teleport 8, the Battle Arena. People had to leave and Lisz, a council member at that time, started to complain a lot for the other team being two more. I told Mathias to change team to their team and I would join the event in their team as well. So it was even. Still she complained and she boycotted the event. So did Tasha, a potential ambassador, but never got it because of her sudden inactivity and only showing up once a week. Lisz forced Tasha to leave the event. I call it a total jerk move from Lisz. I called off the event after some time because of Lisz and Tasha leaving the event and Dert was just jumping around everywhere. Doing one hit then jumping around everywhere.
We went back to base and Lisz was talking to a friend in her friend list. I have no idea who it was, but she talked about me, what a terrible person I am. She talked to me as well and called me out for favoritism. I would never ever do such thing as favoritism. Two people logging out from sherwood and then me and Mathias joining their time to fill their places and then Lisz and Tasha leaving the event. That is not even related to favoritism. She also told me "You're a jerk leader, go to hell with you!" This is a bad behaviour from one of the representatives of KS. She's going to show what KS is and she does it in that way.
I was the one who wanted Lisz in the council. I think that was one of the biggest mistakes I did when I prefered different people to council. I also wanted Derk in council and he was a great one and everyone respected him and he respected back. He brought a big laugh to base.
Jyles was a guy I prefered in council as well. He was a great guy as well. He was a bit like Mathias. He wanted to host events a lot, but Mathias was a bit hyper. Jyles is a good friend of mine as well. There was just one thing with Jyles and that was that he wanted the co-leader rank badly. He told me one that Maids wants him in co-leader. I believed it and I talked to some council members. To ElectroxSoldier, Iris and Poseidon. We all agreed and he was about to get it. I sent Maids a message just to confirm she talked to him about. She sent me back and said she never talked to him about co-leader or any other rank. So he didn't get it and he left KS few months after, because DV was dying in his opinion. I wasn't following DV well to judge if they were or not, but I thought they looked okay.
Not many events were held since January and Mathias is still missing. It would be great to have him back for sure.
21. 1st March 2015
KS died, but not officially. It just happened. No one (not even me) talked to the Council about killing the clan, we just let it be. I kept wearing KS tags all the time, I never stopped.
2014 isn’t much to write about. I was active. I was sometimes in room 77 and sometimes in room 1. Faker came back to Sherwood, a guy I met back in 2011 already. I also met two new Swedish friends: CataleyaSistah and Murduresse. Really good girls that I talked to a lot and I still talk to CataleyaSistah a lot. I honestly don’t know why I still played Sherwood. Was it that fun coming online daily to an almost empty base every day? Or coming to room one and see people arguing? I don’t know. Maybe I was hoping that KS would someday come back again. I thought it’d never happen and I decided to leave Sherwood for a while.
In 2015, former KS members Poseidon, Iris and Derk and also Audrey started to recruit me to CTK, but I rejected it every time. I’m happy afterwards that I didn’t join. Because I visited Sherwood in February 2015 and Lion was there. A great guy who was very loyal to KS, but always disappeared for a few months and came back, disappeared and so on. He tried to convince me to bring back KS. He also got Dert to do the same.
I talked to Iris almost immediately and told her about it. I told her I was ready to give it a shot. The reason why I talked to her instead of taking action by myself is because she was in leadership by the time and I didn’t want to bring back a clan by myself that wasn’t really mine. Perhaps you could call the clan mine now afterwards, but from the bottom it was MetalFox’s clan and it’ll always be his clan even if he was gone a lot. Iris talked to Poseidon about it and together we would bring back KS. We had a lot of work to do. Site needed to get updated, as well as the memberlists and functions. I was so happy doing all this. Sure it wouldn’t be the same KS, but we were ready to bring KS back. Give it another shot.
KS re-opened 1st March 2015. Leaders were me, Iris and Poseidon with no Co-leader. Old players came back but we also got some nice new recruits, such as Aves, Reginaldus and Slayaa. Aves and Regi would become Council members later on, because we grew a lot and we needed a bigger Council than just me, Iris and Poseidon. Our Council got criticism some times by both KS members and people outside KS. Either that they were not good enough or that it wasn’t big enough. My answer to that was that they were good enough or we wouldn’t pick them. About “not big enough”, KS wasn’t in the state were we’d need eleven Council members like in 2013. Five was good enough for our capacity.
KS would become successful the coming months and I thank Lion for convincing me to bring KS back.
Even if I don't show up on sherwood as much as before and even if the game has died out and most of the clans, I always feel home showing up in base. All the friends I made in the specific room 77. Friends that changed my life. Those things are going around in my head when I go to base. I visit DV and talk to me nicely. I see people fighting, talking and having fun. Just like it should be. I still miss many of my friends being gone, but I know that they will show up one day. I'm waiting for that day and I will have fun until then. And after.
2011-2013 KS (The Keepers of Souls) - Lord, Council, Ambassador, Soul Guider, Head Soul Guider, Royal guard
2013 DV (Deo Volente) - General, Base Commander
2013-2015 KS (The Keepers of Souls) - Leader, Council, The Organizer, Head Soul Guider
Other credited friends
I gave some people credits in this story. However, I haven't mentioned some people that do deserve some credit, for the good friend he/she has been to me.
CataleyaSistah - Met her in 2014. A great friend, talking to her daily.
Maeve - Met her in 2011. Became a good friend and still having contact with her.
Murduresse - Met her in 2014. New friend, but quickly became a close one. A very great girl.
